NSF I-Corps Biotech Startup

Medical Device & Scientific Communications

The work: I served as an early communications and operations partner for a stealth-mode biotech startup developing a novel medical device. The company is not yet public, but the scope of my work included:

  • Co-inventor on a medical device patent filing

  • Recruited scientific advisors for the founding team

  • Supported the company's participation in the NSF I-Corps entrepreneurial training program, which develops early-stage science and technology ventures

This work required translating frontier science for multiple audiences, including scientific advisors evaluating the technology, program administrators assessing commercial viability, and early stakeholders being introduced to the concept.
